Bravi joined Sauber in 2017 as a board member and general counsel before becoming managing director three years ago. In 2023, he took on additional responsibilities as team representative during the transition from Alfa Romeo to Stake, ahead of becoming Audi's works team next year.

"It is an emotional time as my journey with Sauber reaches its end," stated Bravi. "Since I joined in 2017, I have seen this team grow and change beyond what anyone could have imagined. This organization went through exciting and difficult times alike, all without ever losing its spirit and its commitment."

Mattia Binotto, who replaced Andreas Seidl as Sauber Motorsport COO and CTO, praised Bravi's contributions: "Alessandro played a wide range of roles within the team, steering it through difficult and exciting times alike. He came to embody the essence of Sauber throughout the years."

This departure marks the second major Formula 1 leadership change in January 2025, following Mike Krack's move to a trackside role at Aston Martin, with Andy Cowell becoming team principal. These changes allow new leadership to establish control before the 2026 regulation changes, which could significantly impact team competitiveness.
