STSS Modifieds Return to Speed Palace for March Speed Showcase
The Short Track Super Series (STSS) returns to Port Royal Speedway for the spring Speed Showcase on March 14-15, featuring Modified, Sportsman, and Pro Stock divisions.
Race winners celebrate on victory podium
The 60-lap Modified main event offers $12,000 to the winner from a $73,000 total purse. Notable payouts include $4,500 for fifth place, $2,000 for tenth, and $1,500 for fifteenth position.
Event Schedule:
- Thursday (March 13): Early hauler and camper parking (4-9 p.m.)
- Friday (March 14): Open practice (10 a.m.-Noon), qualifying races (7 p.m.)
- Saturday (March 15): Feature events starting at 3 p.m.
- Sunday (March 16): Weather date if needed
Additional Highlights:
- Sportsman division: 40-lap feature with $4,000 winner's share
- Pro Stocks: 25-lap race paying $1,250 to win
- Live music and party following Friday's racing

- Friday Grandstand: $15 (Kids 12 and under FREE)
- Saturday Grandstand: $35 (Kids 12 and under FREE)
- Weekend Grandstand Pass: $50

- Camping: $100 dry camping, $200 with electric (availability dependent)
