Four drivers embarked on their Super DIRTcar Series journey in 2024, with Alex Payne claiming Rookie of the Year honors. Mike Trautschold, Justin Stone, and Daniel Johnson each faced unique challenges while building their racing careers.

Trautschold's main challenge was adapting to Hoosier tires, coming from an American Racer Tires background. He's now building a knowledge base for future success. For Johnson, maintaining a positive attitude became crucial for improving results.

Stone showed particular promise, leading the King of the North event at Autodrome Drummond before a flat tire ended his victory chance. The experience boosted his confidence for the upcoming season.

Family connections played a significant role in their development. Johnson raced alongside his father, three-time Series champion Danny Johnson, while Stone benefited from his father Todd's experience in Big Block racing across New York and Vermont.

Trautschold found mentorship through Alex Payne and Payne's father, Eldon, gaining valuable insights about Hoosier tires and engine management. Their guidance helped keep him moving in the right direction throughout the season.

These three drivers will apply their rookie season lessons as they prepare for the 2025 Super DIRTcar Series, which begins at Volusia Speedway Park during the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, February 12-15.
