The exterior updates are minimal, featuring sharper headlights and illuminated edging around the distinctive front grille on select trims. Inside, the concept car-like interior remains largely unchanged, with its floating dual-screen setup and layered center console design continuing to impress.

Premium materials and comfortable seating define the cabin experience. The new M Sport trim introduces more supportive seats. While passenger space is generous throughout, the 500-liter boot capacity trails competitors in the segment.

Significant technical improvements include larger batteries and more efficient motors across the range. The xDrive60 model now achieves up to 426 miles of range, among the highest in the UK market. Charging speeds have also improved.

The entry-level xDrive45 delivers impressive performance with all-wheel drive and responsive acceleration. Despite its size, the iX maintains exceptional handling characteristics while providing superior ride comfort. The range-topping M70 variant offers 659hp for those seeking maximum performance.

Starting at £75,000, the base model xDrive45 represents the sweet spot in the range, offering 374 miles of range, engaging performance, and the same premium interior as higher-priced versions. The updated BMW iX continues to set the benchmark for luxury electric SUVs, combining practical range with refined comfort and dynamic capability.
