Veloce Racing has announced its entry into the FIA Extreme H World Cup, becoming the first team to confirm participation in the world's first hydrogen-powered motorsport series, set to launch in 2025.

The British team brings significant experience from Extreme E, where they achieved remarkable success, including five X Prix victories. Most recently, they led the 2024 championship with drivers Molly Taylor and Kevin Hansen before the season's early conclusion, following their third-place finish in 2023.

Daniel Bailey, CEO of Veloce Media Group and E.ON Next Veloce Racing, emphasized the team's commitment to environmental causes: "Extreme H offers an opportunity to continue our mission of driving change and highlighting sustainable solutions. Hydrogen is emerging as a promising candidate in automotive industry development."

Technical preparations for the series are well underway, with Spark completing production of 10 Pioneer 25 race cars following extensive testing throughout 2024. While former Extreme E champions Roxberg X Racing have declined participation, several other teams are reportedly in discussions to join the series.
