LaJoie's first race will be the Daytona 500, where he'll pilot the No. 01 Ford Mustang sponsored by DuraMAX and Take 5 Oil Change. As an unchartered team entry, LaJoie must qualify for the race through speed or his qualifying Duel race performance.
The number and schedule of races beyond Daytona have not been announced.
The No. 01 represents LaJoie's new Stacking Pennies Performance Brand, building on his popular podcast and personal slogan. "Rick Ware is someone who makes things happen," said LaJoie. "He's allowed me to put the No. 01 on his Ford Mustangs, building off the brand fans have related to, supported, and cheered for over the past several years."
In addition to racing, LaJoie will serve as an analyst for Prime Video's NASCAR coverage, starting with the Coca-Cola 600. Prime Video will broadcast five Cup Series races as part of NASCAR's new media rights agreement.
LaJoie reflected on his career transition: "My driving career has been more successful than I ever could've dreamed, yet I lose sleep feeling I never reached my full potential behind the wheel. The pursuit of bettering myself and others around me has never been more important than it is right now. Between Rick Ware, Prime Video, and the support of partners DuraMAX and Take 5 Oil Change, I'm able to follow my heart."
