Juncos Hollinger Racing Confirms Daly's Seat Safe Despite Sponsorship Gap
Conor Daly's position at Juncos Hollinger Racing (JHR) remains secure despite a recent $3.5 million sponsorship gap from cryptocurrency company Polkadot.
JHR team principal Dave O'Neill confirms that Daly's selection for the No. 78 Chevy was not dependent on any single sponsorship deal. While the initial Polkadot proposal for $3.5 million was rejected, followed by a declined $2.5 million request, a new proposal specifically for the Indy 500 is in development.

O'Neill emphasizes that Daly has already secured multiple sponsorship deals, with two to three confirmed from a potential pool of five to six strong prospects. The team selected Daly primarily for his driving abilities, with his ability to bring funding being a secondary consideration.
While the team maintains the option to replace Daly with another funded driver if necessary, team owners Ricardo Juncos and Brad Hollinger have no immediate plans to make such a change. O'Neill expresses confidence in Daly's capabilities across all track types, including ovals, street circuits, and road courses.
