The M25 motorway at junction 10 will undergo two final weekend closures in March 2025 as improvement works near completion.

The closures will take place:

  • March 7 (9 pm) to March 10 (6 am)
  • March 21 (9 pm) to March 24 (6 am)

Recent improvements have already enhanced traffic flow with:

  • New jet lanes bypassing traffic signals
  • New Wisley Lane opening
  • Additional structures for pedestrians, cyclists, and horse riders

Additional closure: The A3 will close in both directions between junction 10 and Cobham Roundabout/A245 from April 11-14.

Important travel considerations:

  • Plan alternative routes
  • Allow extra travel time
  • Note potential impacts on events at Twickenham and O2

Project Timeline:

  • Major roadworks completion: Summer 2025
  • Final project completion: Spring 2026 (delayed due to weather conditions in 2024)

Benefits of the improvement scheme:

  • Increased lane capacity
  • Enhanced traffic flow
  • Improved journey safety
  • Better overall driving experience

While some disruption is expected, National Highways confirms these are the final major closures needed to complete the essential improvements. Most drivers will not experience significant impacts during the extended completion timeline.
