French Engineer Touron Joins Rahal's IndyCar Team as Race Engineer for 2025 Season
Graham Rahal welcomes experienced race engineer Yves Touron to the No. 15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda team for the 2025 IndyCar season. The move signals a strategic effort to end Rahal's winless streak dating back to June 2017.

Touron joins RLL after serving as Juncos Holling Racing's technical director, bringing extensive experience from KV Racing, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, Carlin Motorsports, and various IMSA teams. His comprehensive background aligns well with RLL's dual involvement in IndyCar and WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The timing is crucial for RLL, as the team aims to strengthen its engineering department. Touron will work alongside IndyCar technical director Todd Malloy, who recently transitioned from RLL's BMW IMSA GTP program. This engineering powerhouse is expected to elevate the team's overall performance.
For Rahal, who finished 18th in the 2024 championship, the addition of Touron represents a win-now approach as his driving career enters its later stages. The veteran engineer replaces Ashley Higham, who moves to the No. 30 Honda with Devlin DeFrancesco.
"Looking at what the team has built here from an outside perspective, I'm like the kid in the candy store," Touron said, expressing enthusiasm about working with Rahal. "The main focus for me is to do good with Graham, get him up there and succeed."
